The Unalaska City Council meets tonight at 6 p.m.

City Clerk Cat Hazen said tonight’s agenda includes several routine business matters since the Council has not met for several weeks due a lack of quorum.

At the top of the meeting, the Council is slated to certify the Oct. 6 election and administer oaths of office to incoming council members Frank Kelty and Alejandro “Bong” Tungul.

The city attorney will make a presentation about marijuana regulations in Unalaska. Interim city manager Donald Moore said the presentation will give the public an opportunity to voice comments on what should or should not be allowed when it comes to marijuana sales.

Moore will deliver his final city manager’s report tonight. Monday was the first day on the job for Unalaska’s new city manager, David Martinson.

One of tonight’s agenda items is a resolution appointing Martinson as the city’s representative on the Museum of the Aleutians board of directors.

The meeting starts at 6 p.m. in Council chambers.
