Raiders to Play Conference Rivals in State Volleyball Final

Saturday, December 14 2013

The Unalaska Raider volleyball team beat Craig High School in the semi-final round of 2A state championships.

That means the Raiders are moving on to the last round of state finals Saturday night -- and they'll be competing against their conference rivals for the championship title.

The Raiders be playing Su Valley, just as they did at state finals in 2012. Su Valley walked away with the win last year.

But the two teams have been in tight competition throughout the 2013 season. The last time they faced off was during the 2A regional meet in November. Su Valley pinned down the victory, but it took a tie-breaking fifth set to determine the winner.

The 2A state final match will air live on KUCB 89.7 FM at 7 p.m.
