Missing Person

Caller reported his brother, who calls at least one of his siblings every day and has a dangerous job in Unalaska, had not phoned in 48 hours. Officers contacted the brother’s employer, who said the brother had shown up for work yesterday and he fully expected him to show up for work again this day. The brother phoned police a short time later and was told to call his family.

Officers responded to the South Channel Bridge after a caller reported a vehicle was high-centered on the bridge guardrail. Officers contacted the driver, who was not impaired and said he had swerved off the road to avoid hitting a fox, had lost control in some loose gravel and had then run up onto the guardrail. No injuries were reported.
Abandoned Vehicle

Officer found an abandoned vehicle on the side of the road and, soon thereafter, the owner of said vehicle. The vehicle owner said it had run out of gas and would be moved soon.

A patron who threatened a bar employee and then fled the area later refused to comply with responding officers’ attempt to identify him. Levi J. Lee, 33 yoa, struggled with officers who were detaining him and was ultimately arrested on charges of Disorderly Conduct and Assault IV.

Officer spoke with a man who had some concerns about recovering money he had lent to a now-ex-girlfriend. The man was advised he would be best served in small claims court.

One of the airport runway gates was damaged when it descended on top of a legally stopped tractor-trailer at the Ballyhoo-East Point intersection. No injuries were reported. DOT was notified and began fixing the gate immediately.
