Complaint about a bunkhouse tenant who had been shaking his fists in another tenant’s face. Officers advised the cheerless man, who complained about everything from lack of freezer space to noisy cooks, to avoid blaming his neighbors for everything.

An officer stopped a driver for an equipment violation and discovered the driver had been consuming alcohol. The driver passed field sobriety tests but chose to walk home anyway.

Officers checked on an intoxicated man who was stumbling from the PCR to the Library and who had a bloody thumb. The man said the thumb had been injured while helping a local pastor, and declined medical assistance.

Thursday’s 911 caller phoned again, and again officers responded to the man’s residence. He again claimed not to have phoned 911 though a review of his call log indicated at least six emergency calls over the last three days. The man was advised that continued false reports could result in arrest.

Caller reported that a woman had stolen his 8-inch laser, but when the responding officer said the suspect would be contacted about the allegation, the victim changed his mind and said he no longer thought she had taken it.

Anonymous caller reported a driver had run a stop sign and was swerving along the roadway. Officers responded to the area but did not locate the suspect vehicle.

Officers responded to a request for assistance and found an apartment with two injured occupants had been ransacked. The men admitted to fighting after one intoxicated man came home and began annoying the other. Bernard Bernard was arrested on charges of Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Mischief IV.

Officersl responded to a report that a vehicle could be seen in the water near Captains Bay Road; unknown if there were any occupants. Officers found the vehicle on the beach, unoccupied, essentially undamaged and with only the front driver’s side wheel in the water. The self-identified driver returned to the scene a short time later and admitted to speeding and then losing control of his vehicle. The driver, a teenager, was cited for Basic Speed and Expired Registration. There was no indication that drugs or alcohol were a factor.
