Caller reported a loud ship’s horn was blaring with annoying frequency which prevented the caller from sleeping. The offending horn was located and the responsible party, who was trying to fix the broken horn, assured the horn blowing would stop.

Caller requested a welfare check on an individual who had made vague statements about hurting themselves. After determining the safety of the person, Officers convinced the person to seek counseling.

Complainant reported receiving vulgar sexually explicit text messages from an unknown source. It was determined the texts originated from a New York number and was possibly rerouted inadvertently.

Officers assisted a homeowner in returning to his residence. The homeowner stated that after a night of alcoholic imbibing, an argument broke out. The homeowner removed one of his guests. The guest has since returned to the residence and the homeowner is worried that the argument could continue if he returned. Officers assured the safe reoccupation of the homeowner’s residence.

While conducting a traffic stop, officers discovered irregularities with a company’s vehicle registrations. The company was admonished concerning sloppy bookkeeping with regards to its fleet and their registration tabs.

Officers investigated a citizen complaint of a large crane blocking half of the roadway without any traffic controls. Officers contacted the responsible party who agreed to provide flaggers while they road was being blocked.

Officers contacted a group of individuals acting suspiciously. Jay Mina, 22 yoa from Unalaska, arrested for Furnishing Alcohol to a Minor. The minor, Evadan Sugabo, 19 yoa from Unalaska, was issued a citation for Minor Consuming.

Officers investigated a report that an individual had taken unknown medication and was having an adverse reaction. It was determined that the individual, although extremely intoxicated and emotional, had not taken any unknown medication.

A concerned citizen reported a vehicle driving erratically. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

Fire officer contacted a homeowner who was burning construction debris. The fire was within regulation size limits and was well-attended; some items had to be removed as they are not authorized for burning.

Police officers responded to a report of a fire at a bunkhouse, and assisted with the evacuation of all residents before investigating the source of smoke. Police officers determined the fire had likely been caused by a cigarette smoldering on a towel.
