Officers responded to a fight in progress in a taxi outside the Amaknak Fire Station. According to the driver a passenger, who had allowed another to ride in the taxi with him, had fled after the man to whom he showed such kindness began to fight with him. The victim, whom the taxi driver believed was uninjured, was not located. The alleged assailant was released.

A driver reported his vehicle had been struck by a taxi five months earlier, and had not yet been fixed as promised by the taxi driver. The taxi driver stated that arrangements had been made to have the vehicle fixed as soon as parts for it arrive. An officer advised the man to file a small claims suit if he was not satisfied with the resolution.
