Out of town caller was concerned that a recently evicted tenant may have returned to the rental unit. An officer checked the residence in question but did not see any signs of tenancy or forced entry.

Caller reported a speeding taxi. An officer contacted the suspect driver, who admitted to speeding on her clients' behalf. The driver was warned that late clients do not constitute a legal right to speed.

Officer contacted a young mother after receiving a report that a crying infant had been left alone in a vehicle. The mother, who said her son had been sleeping when she parked the car, was advised that leaving such a young child unattended could be unsafe.

Bunkhouse owner reported a tenant who was already late with his rent had also damaged the communal bathroom. An officer contacted the tenant, who admitted to accidentally causing some but not all of the damage attributed to him.

Caller reported his vehicle window had been broken while he was at work. The investigating officer found some evidence indicating the window had been broken by a rock which may have come from a nearby business. Under investigation.

Officer contacted a man who had passed out on a toilet at the Harbor View Bar. The man, who upon waking remembered why he had come to the bathroom, finished his business before leaving the bar pursuant to the officer's advisement that he not enter or remain on a licensed premise this night.

Caller asked that officers check on a possibly intoxicated woman who had an argument with her husband and might be outside in inclement conditions. Officers checked the area where the woman was last seen and found no indication of either the woman or inclement weather. They were later notified that the woman had hidden herself to avoid contact with police.

Officers helped remove a recently deceased dog from a pet owner's home and made arrangements for disposal of the body.

David F.M. Keller, 50 yoa, of Unalaska, was arrested on one count of Assault IV-DV after officer investigated a report of a fight at a boarding house. Keller struck his roommate in the face after his roommate heard Keller screaming into the phone and told him to be quiet.
