Caller reported seeing flashing amber lights at the end of the road to Ski Bowl. An officer trudged through deep drifts of snow only to find that the amber lights were the hazard flashers for a vehicle that was stuck in deep snow.

Officers took into custody a driver who had committed a traffic violation and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. The driver was released and taken back to his vehicle after a breath test indicated his breath alcohol was below the legal limit.

Drunk reported that somebody was in his house. Officers responded and found the drunk and his brother, both of whom live at that location, in the house. The drunk identified his deceased father as one of the people in his home, but officers were unable to locate him.

Caller reported a dog was improperly cared for and was left outside with no shelter. An officer checked the area in question but found no abused dogs.

UDPS received a number of automated calls from a local business. An officer checked the building and found there was no emergency and that a temporary phone outage had caused the automated alarms.

Drunken caller reported receiving harassing phone calls from another person; the other person at the same time reported receiving harassing phone calls from the drunken caller. Officers asked both parties if they could just quit calling one another.

Caller reported two drunken youths pounding at his door and asked that police tell them to leave. Officers found that one of the young drunks had actually entered the residence, but had since left. The caller did not wish to pursue charges and the drunks were advised not to return to that location.

Drunken caller reported a neighbor was looking for a knife with which to commit suicide. Officers responded and found that the woman was simply looking for a knife with which to cut a roast.
