Taxi driver reported that a man who had repeatedly failed to pay his taxi fare in the past had again absconded without paying her. The responding officer, who was unable to locate the poorly identified suspect, suggested that the taxi driver quit transporting the freeloader.

Caller reported that her keys were locked in her vehicle and that someone had intentionally deflated her tire. The caller was unable to provide the responding officer with the name of anyone who might have committed said deeds.

Caller reported his parked vehicle had been struck by an unidentified driver, causing damage to a rear taillight and fender. Under investigation.

A driver backed into another, stopped vehicle in the airport parking lot. Damages were minor and no injuries were reported.

A non-English speaking customer who was upset about vehicle repair charges being more than the original estimate created a minor disturbance at Alaska Ship Supply. An officer helped explain the difference in charges to the customer, who eventually paid the bill in full.
Traffic Crime

A driver who, it was later determined, ran out of gas was observed driving erratically and then rolling backwards down a small incline. No damages or injuries ensued as a result of his back-sliding. An officer helped move the vehicle off the roadway and then issued a citation for failing to provide proof of insurance.

Caller reported three children playing on thin ice at the edge of the lake. An officer contacted the children, explained the dangers of thin ice and escorted the children to a safer location.
