Property owner reported graffiti on a stone ledge near her house. Officers documented the vandalism but found no evidence to suggest a culprit.

Caller reported a school bus driver failed to stop at a signed intersection. The driver, who told officers she didn't stop due to concerns about traffic, was given a warning.
Assault

Drunken beach partier reported he had been assaulted by another party-goer. Officers investigating the affair determined some type of scuffle had broken out, during which one inebriate ran about swinging madly at several others, eventually striking one person and pushing another to the ground. The victims elected not to pursue charges.

A person reported being frightened by someone shouting at him while he was driving through a residential area. Officers contacted the alleged screamer, who denied having committed such a wicked act, and asked him not to have any further contact with the man.

Caller reported speeding construction vehicles in the vicinity of a residential area frequented by young children. Officers contacted the construction site manager and advised him of the complaint.

Mother reported that two young girls had her family's dog and refused to give it back. Officers investigating the dog-napping complaint found that the family dog had been voluntarily given away at least a week earlier, and advised both parties that custody of the pooch was a matter best suited for civil court.

Caller reported receiving harassing, late-night phone calls from another woman. Investigation indicated the caller was in fact the person placing the unwanted phone calls; the victim was advised to document any further calls in the event legal action was necessary.

Security officer found drunken man sleeping in a company vehicle, and after rousting the man from the van discovered the keys were missing. Officers located the inebriate a short distance away, but the vehicle keys remain at large.

A man who left his iPad in a garbage sack in a processing facility reported it had been stolen sometime while he was away from the plant, fishing. No suspects were identified.
