Homicide Investigation
Tuesday 28 February 2012, 11:34 p.m.
A woman driving past Bering Fisheries observed two men beating a third, and immediately phoned police. While waiting for officers to respond, she saw one man being punched and kicked down a set of stairs, after which the two assailants left the scene. The victim was pronounced dead shortly after being transported to the clinic. Denison D. Soria and Leonardo T. Bongolto Jr. were both arrested later in the night, charged with one count each of Murder I.

A man who was offended by a joke punched the jokester in the face until he fell to the floor, then smacked him a few more times for failing to apologize quickly enough. The other two men in the room claimed they were unaware of the incident. Wanderson Moreira Lopes, 36 yoa, of Anchorage, was arrested on one count of Assault IV.

David J. Bravo, 22 yoa, of Kodiak, was arrested on three counts of Assault III and one count of Misconduct Involving Weapons after he threatened to shoot three men in front of Harbor View Bar. Bravo, who was intoxicated, had argued with the three men earlier in the night and threatened to return with his gun. Bravo was disarmed by one of his victims shortly before police arrived.
