Lady Raiders Keep Their 9-0 Record
Tuesday, November 11 2014
Once again, it has been another successful weekend for the Unalaska Lady Raiders volleyball team. Being one of the last home games of the season, the Lady Raiders recognized their seniors on Saturday, November 8th, before playing a long, competitive, and tough match against the Su-Valley Rams, who were last year’s 2A state champions. This weekend, both the Unalaska Raider’s varsity and junior varsity fought back with intensity and heart for the game, ending with wins. The Unalaska’s junior varsity team was able to defeat the Rams in a close match Saturday night after a tough loss the night before. As for the Lady Raiders varsity team, they took wins in Friday's and Saturday’s games, claiming and keeping a 9-0 record in their conference. The Lady Raiders worked long and hard for this great competition.
With only a few weeks left before Regionals, the Lady Raiders prepare themselves this week as they travel to Kenai to play in the Cook Inlet Academy tournament and compete with six other teams. In conclusion, the Lady Raiders would like to thank the Unalaska community for coming out to the games and supporting them, as well as to the Su-Valley Rams for coming to Unalaska to play some volleyball.
