On the night of May 3, 2014 the City of Unalaska’s Department of Parks, Culture, and Recreation hosted the Missoula Children’s Theatre, for their production of Pinocchio. The Missoula Children’s Theatre of (MCT) has been coming to the community of Unalaska for over 10 years, bringing with them a sense of theatrics and exciting experiences for all to share. The Missoula Children's Theatre mission is to enable the development of life skills in children through participation in the performing arts. In one week, over 50 children participated in the Pinocchio production. During this time, they rehearsed lines and practiced musical routines of singing and dancing. Some children also assisted behind the scenes. They were taught how to operate lighting and sound equipment and aided in stage directing.   The MCT put on 2 showings of the play on Saturday, May 3 at 4:00PM and 6:30PM for audiences of over 100 people in attendance. The shows were directed by Ted Drury and Morgan Maul-Smith. The PCR looks forward to bringing MCT back to Unalaska next year.
