Student of the Week for April 27 - May 1, 2015
The Principal's Pick for Student of the Week is Cheyanne for the following reasons:
I have enjoyed watching Cheyanne become a leader in our school this year. She has a great attitude, is kind towards everyone, and continually strives to be a role model for younger students. As a teacher's assistant with Mr. Good, she has become a rock star in the 5th grade and has set an example of kindness and hard work for our younger students to model. She is open, honest, and sincere in her interactions with students and staff alike. Thank you Cheyanne for your contributions to UCSD and positive school climate over the last 4 years. Good luck in all your future pursuits. - Mr. Wilson
Cheyanne has become nothing short of an outstanding role model for the students of my 5th grade class. Cheyanne takes on all tasks with a smile, and completes them with efficiency and attention to quality. As a Teacher's Assistant this year, Cheyanne has dealt with and overcome the mundane tasks associated with bulletin boards and copy machines. But, among the mundane, she has had the chance to work directly with my 5th grade students, giving them all someone new to look up to. She has contributed an alternative point of view to many morning discussions among the 5th graders, helping them to realize some of what they have to look forward to. Every day as she leaves our classroom, she is acknowledged by each student almost in unison, with a "Bye Cheyanne". Thanks for all your help this year Cheyanne, and best of luck with your future plans; our class will miss you! - Mr. Good, 5th Grade Teacher
