Leah Bacalso

January 27th—31st

The 5th/6th Grade Department selected Leah Bacalso as Student of the Week for the following reasons:

  • Leah is a joy to have in class. She enters the classroom every morning with a smile on her face and a warm greeting. Her positive attitude and smile is ever present as is her exceptional work ethic. She is not shy to share her ideas with others and asks intelligent questions. Ms. Bacalso is always willing to lend a helping hand and is a great example of what a classmate and friend should be. Thanks for all your hard work, Leah!  Keep it up!!  –Miss Wood, 6th Grade Teacher
  • Leah is, without a doubt, one of the most conscientious students in my classroom. She always walks into my room with a smile and a pleasant greeting. I can depend on her to turn in her work on time and to care that it’s accurate and presentable. Leah is quick to volunteer, regardless of the task. She is just as willing to straighten desks and dispose of litter, as she is to help fellow students with reading and vocabulary assignments. If Leah doesn’t understand something, she readily asks for help. She wants to learn! Leah’s positive attitude will take her far. Congratulations, Miss Leah! –Ms. Anderson, Teacher
  • I am so glad Leah is being recognized as the student of the week. She is such a wonderful student and person. She is very gracious to her teachers and classmates. Leah has a personality that is so kind and warm. She also is a hardworking student. In P.E. she works incredibly hard and always does her best. Congratulations Leah. –Ms. Heard, PE and Health Teacher
  • Leah’s optimistic outlook of the school day is an especially rare perspective. She always walks around the corner or into the classroom and offers a warm and sincere greeting backed up with a toothy smile. Her positive attitude is contagious and is seen as a model for the students around her. Thank you Leah for sharing your happiness and joy with the students and teachers of the 6th grade along with the rest of our school! –Mr. Good, 6th Grade Teacher

Leah is the daughter of Marcas and Antonieta Bacalso.
