LeeAnn Mears
February 3rd—7th
The Junior High Department selected LeeAnn Mears as Student of the Week for the following reasons:
- LeeAnn is a quiet force in the English classroom: an avid, insightful reader and a thoughtful writer. She completes her work in a timely manner, focuses in class, plans ahead, and is always cheerful and positive. She takes risks and goes beyond the basic expectations, most notably performing her winning poem at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration and participating in the Battle of the Books, for which she will compete at State. Her diligence will continue to carry her far. Great job, LeeAnn! –Ms. Purevsuren, Language Arts Teacher
- LeeAnn is a strong student who works hard and turns in quality work in History class. Her contributions to discussions are well thought out and effective. LeeAnn is one who strives to improve and push herself to higher marks than most of her peers. She is one of four students who recited the Gettysburg Address from memory to receive extra credit. Keep up the good work and finish the year strong. Good job, LeeAnn. –Kent Russell, Social Studies Teacher
- LeeAnn is a great student who is always working hard and trying her best. LeeAnn strives to be the best she can in whatever she does. She is not afraid to ask questions when she doesn’t understand something and is always willing to participate in discussions. Keep up the good work LeeAnn, it is noticed and appreciated. – David Gibson, Science Teacher
LeeAnn is the daughter of Sharon McBird.
