Unalaska Pride sponsored a community-wide holiday "Deck the Halls" decorating contest in December to spread the cheer of the season throughout Unalaska. The contest included four categories: residential indoor, residential outdoor, business indoor, and business outdoor. Community members nominated themselves or someone else for the contest, and then Unalaska Pride members made scheduled home and office visits to determine the winners. 

The prizes for this year's winners included a year of bragging rights, a photo of their hard work to be displayed through local publications, and a holiday spirit trophy. Winners were announced on the Flash!Unalaska Holiday Special and prizes were awarded to the following:

Residential Indoor: Jan Newkirk

Residential Outdoor: The Vernon Family

Business Indoor: Fire Office

Business Outdoor: Little Coffee Hut
