Unalaska, AK – A pre-indictment hearing will be held in Unalaska tomorrow for an Adak man who allegedly stole and crashed two vehicles, broke into three buildings and caused thousands of dollars worth of damage in August.

William Krukoff, 18, was arrested on September 29 and now faces twelve different charges for an early morning crime spree on August 30. Krukoff told officers that he found a vehicle with the keys in the ignition that morning, then drove it a short distance before crashing it into a pole in front of the Adak transportation maintenance building.

Krukoff then broke into the building and stole another vehicle. He told officers that he drove it to two different houses, where he broke in and stole DVDs, beer and a rifle. He then crashed the car into two different garage doors, after which he tried unsuccessfully to steal another vehicle, which he accidentally rolled into a door frame.

Krukoff walked from the scene of the final accident to a house where he was staying. That house's resident told police that Krukoff appeared intoxicated when he arrived, at about 3 a.m.

Krukoff faces two counts of first degree vehicle theft, two counts of burglary, four counts of criminal mischief, three counts of theft and one count of criminal trespass. He will appear at the hearing by telephone from Anchorage, where he is being held.
