Unalaska, AK – All nine visiting teams are now present and accounted for at the Region 1 girls' volleyball championships. In today's games:

-Barrow beat Bristol Bay in three straight games, 25-6, 25-4, 25-8.

-In the day's closest contest, Nome came from behind to beat Kotzebue 3-2. Kotzebue won the first game 25-18, lost the second 25-20 and won the third 28-26, but Nome picked up the last two games 25-8 and 15-11 for the win.

-Bethel shut out Unalaska in three games, 25-16, 25-15 and 25-12.

Up next this evening are Dillingham and Nome. Play is expected to go late this evening to make up for time lost by this morning's late start, and resume again tomorrow morning on schedule at 9 a.m. For more updates, keep checking www.kial.org throughout the day.
