Coast Guard medevacs man from F/V Golden Alaska

Unalaska, AK – The Coast Guard medevaced a crewmember off of the Golden Alaska on Monday evening when they were 8 nautical miles west of St. George Island. The 60-year-old man was experiencing abdominal pain. The master of the vessel contacted the Coast Guard at 8:43 pm and the man was safely transported to St. George on a MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter that was forward deployed to St. Paul for the fishing season. He will be medevack'ed to Anchorage Tuesday.
