Community members raise awareness of violence against women for V-Day

Unalaska, AK – Depending on who's saying it, the term "V-Day" can refer to pretty different events. During World War II, V-Day meant "Victory Day," and to some lovebirds it serves as shorthand for Valentine's Day.
But the V-Day that people have been talking about here in Unalaska this past week doesn't have anything to do with either of these things. V-Day isn't just a single day - it's a worldwide movement meant to raise awareness of violence against women and girls, and to help stop it. KUCB's Alexandra Gutierrez has more.
