Council To Hear Infrastructure Update
Tuesday, July 26 2011
City council will convene for a brief meeting tonight to discuss capital projects.
During the work session, Public Works Director Nancy Peterson will be giving an update on the status of the Carl E. Moses Small Boat Harbor project and all related roadwork. According to City Clerk Elizabeth Masoni, Peterson is also expected to talk about the construction of a new 8-plex off of Loop Road and give an assessment of the new powerhouse, which went online this winter.
Council will also discuss one piece of new business tonight. There will be a first reading on an ordinance that would amend the utilities code by setting up a new way to determine customers’ bills when their water or electric meters fail. Dan Winters talked about these Title X modifications at the last council meeting, and the presentation did not provoke intense debate.
There are no items on the consent agenda, and there is no unfinished business.
The meeting will start at 7pm in the city hall council chambers, and it is expected to last 40 minutes.
