Unalaska, AK – The Coast Guard concluded its first day of a Marine Board of Investigation into the sinking of the Alaska Ranger in Unalaska today. In about six hours of testimony from the Alaska Ranger's first assistant engineer James Madruga, and the sister ship Alaska Warrior's captain, Scott Krey, and mate, Raymond Falante, the panel pieced together some of the story of the ship's sinking.
