Police confiscate large Oxycontin supply

Unalaska, AK – The Unalaska Department of Public Safety seized a stash of Oxycontin with a street value of nearly $14,000 dollars yesterday.
Robert Farris, 19, was arrested after questioning and a search revealed that he had allegedly received a shipment of drugs from California. According to the criminal complaint, the package contained 68 pills of Oxycontin hidden in a jar of peanut butter.
Farris has been charged with the manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance, a class A felony. He has also been charged with two misdemeanor counts for violating his felony release conditions related to a recent vehicle accident.
Last week, Farris was arrested after allegedly flipping a Ford Explorer truck near Summer Bay Lake while intoxicated. He faces seven criminal counts in that case, including assault, driving under the influence, driving without a license, and furnishing alcohol to minors.
