Unalaska, AK – This weekend, the Raider basketball teams traveled across the Kenai Peninsula for a series of games.

On Thursday, the girls team matched up against Nikolaevsk, and defeated them 42 to 21 after breaking away in the second half. Asia Vernon was a top scorer, with 17 points.

The boys team then followed up on that victory by beating the Nikolaevsk Warriors 57 to 44. Andrew Seman scored a total of 23 points, while J.J. Fernandez brought in 15.

The Raider teams then faced Ninilchik on Friday. The girls team beat the Ninilchik Wolverines 39 to 32, and the boys won their game 37 to 28.

Unfortunately, the Raider winning streak did not continue through Saturday when the teams traveled to Soldotna to play the Cook Inlet Academy. The girls team lost 45 to 26, and the boys team was narrowly defeated by one point, 46 to 47.

On Thursday, the Raiders will be traveling to Bethel for a series of games.
