Unalaska police say this man is wanted in connection to a sexual assault.

Unalaska police are looking for a man they say is wanted in connection to an alleged sexual assault early Friday morning.

A no bail arrest warrant was issued for Daylen Luff, 31, after police filed a criminal complaint in district court Friday. The complaint included two counts of sexual assault 2, contact without consent. A magistrate judge ruled there was no probable cause for the second count, but did issue a warrant for the first.

Sgt. Jennifer Shockley of the Unalaska Department of Public Safety said Luff was last seen around 5:30 a.m. on Friday.

"We know he has friends in town that in the past have provided a play to stay," Shockley said Friday afternoon. "That is a crime."

Shockley said someone harboring a fugitive could be charged with "hindering prosecution."

Shockley also said the alleged victim of the crime is safe.

Police distributed a mug shot of Luff this afternoon along with descriptive details, asking the public to call 907-581-1233 with any information on Luff's whereabouts. He is described as 5'10', 185 pounds with blue eyes and blond hair.
