The 5th/6th Department selected Reena as Student of the Week  November 9-13, 2015 for the following reasons:

Reena is an asset to our fifth-grade classroom. Even with her quiet personality she is a leader among her peers. Reena is always going the extra mile in her studies as well as in group projects. Her kind personality and hard work ethic will take her miles and miles. Keep on shining, Reena!  ~Ms. Scott, 5th Grade Teacher


Crab Pot Tourney Preps Raiders for Volleyball Regionals

Four UCS high school teams and four junior high teams competed in the Unalaska Crab Pot volleyball tournament over the weekend. This 8-team double elimination tournament stretched over two days. The championship match was an exciting battle between the boy’s high school team, which was a mix of teachers and students, and the Raider varsity team. The boys emerged victorious after 5 sets.

Fire Safety

Fire Officers initiated a Fire Inspection of a local business.
Traffic Roads
Monday 26 December 2016, 12:35 a.m.
Caller reported that the tracks in the snow indicated an erratic driver. Officers were unable to follow the snow tracks to a suspect vehicle due to the plethora of other snow tracks intermingled throughout the roadway.
MVA
Wednesday 28 December 2016, 5:05 p.m.
Damage - Caller reported a possible attempted vehicle theft. A vehicle had inexplicably moved from its parking spot the building where it caused damage to the building. It was determined that the vehicle had issues with its transmission and had rolled into the building.
Fraud
Tuesday 27 December 2016, 12:58 p.m.
Caller reported that her estranged husband had siphoned off over $3000.00 from her account. Investigation continues.
