   Eight members from the Unalaska boy and girl high school swim teams traveled to Kenai, Alaska for the Kenai Invitational, the annual swimming and diving competition.  Nearly 75 athletes from Homer, Kenai Central, Seward, Soldotna, and Unalaska high schools participated in this year's event October 3^rd and 4^th.

   Each athlete was able to swim in two individual events, two relay events, and no more than three athletes from one team could compete in any one event. Unalaska swimmers competed in 13 out of the 24 events and finished in the top three in five of those events.  Head coach, D. Tyrell McGirt, was pleased with the outcome of the meet and especially proud of the three freshmen swimmers, Jonathan Le, Johnny Khongsuk, and Alyssa Tungul, performance at their first ever swim competition outside of Unalaska.  Both boy and girl teams from Soldotna High School placed first in the overall swimming and diving competition.
