My name is Cathy Jordan and I am the Executive Director at the Unalaska/Dutch Harbor Convention & Visitors Bureau. I was appointed to the Unalaska City School Board in April of 2014.
Our family moved to Unalaska in January of 2013, and we enjoy the lifestyle, community, and year round beauty found here in the heart of the Aleutians.
I am a wife, mother and grandmother : ) Our oldest son and family live in Michigan. My husband and youngest son, a freshman this year, (how fast time flies), have the pleasure of living here in Unalaska.

In my 14 years in Unalaska, I have been a coach, a dance instructor, a Sunday school teacher, a bank teller, a member of the Iliuliuk Clinic board, a member of the Unalaska Ballyhoo Lions Club, co-founder of the non-profit organization Teens for Health. Recently awarded the 2014 Community Star Award by the City of Unalaska/PCR. I am a loyal wife, loving mother, supportive daughter, a caring big sister, and a friend. I believe that the council acts on behalf of all residents to promote the good of the entire community. I am committed to making knowledgeable decisions, integrity and responsibility are the personal traits that will always be a part in the
key concern areas that address the quality of life that encompasses; economic sustainability, environmental, housing, improvement, and community unification. As a city council member, I will work hard to earn your trust, to focus on policy not politics, to participate in all issues, to take the time to make a difference, to ask
questions and seek solutions. I believe that we the people in our community are the heartbeat of local governance.
