Kei Kawada

February 10th–14th

The High School Department selected Kei Kawada as Student of the Week for the following reasons:

  • I love having Kei as a student in my math class. He continually strives to do the best he can and never settles for less. Kei is a math student exemplar – his math skills are beyond his years. Not only does he shine in calculus class, Kei is a great choice for student of the week because he goes out of his way to help younger students with their math too. Thanks Kei and keep up the good work. –Brad Pate, Math Teacher

UCSD Student of the Week: LeeAnn Mears

LeeAnn Mears

February 3rd—7th

The Junior High Department selected LeeAnn Mears as Student of the Week for the following reasons:

  • LeeAnn is a quiet force in the English classroom: an avid, insightful reader and a thoughtful writer. She completes her work in a timely manner, focuses in class, plans ahead, and is always cheerful and positive. She takes risks and goes beyond the basic expectations, most notably performing her winning poem at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration and participating in the Battle of the Books, for which she will compete at State. Her diligence will continue to carry her far. Great job, LeeAnn! –Ms. Purevsuren, Language Arts Teacher
