A driver, braking after bouncing across washboards on Summer Bay Road, slid off the roadway and rolled down the embankment to the beach. Neither the driver nor passenger suffered serious injuries. There was no indication of impairment.

Complaint about a vehicle having been abandoned on private property. Officers contacted the registered owner, who advised he would have the person using the vehicle, move it.

Caller reported that he had woken during the night to the sound of someone trying to open a door and windows to the house at which he is staying, and got up in time to see two dark-clad people running from the house.

Caller reported children sledding on the roadway near Ski Bowl, and was concerned a driver might not see or be able to avoid them.

Officers responded to a residence after a call from a screaming woman was abruptly disconnected.  Officers found the home in some disarray, and the wife with some minor injuries. A witness indicated that this was not an unusual turn of events. Donald Zander, 25 yoa, had fled the area and was charged for Assault IV and Interfering with a Report of a DV Crime.

John Kelly Foster, 52 yoa, was arrested for Violating Conditions of Release after an officer saw a taxi driver purchase alcohol for Foster. Foster’s release conditions include prohibitions against consuming alcohol.

Bar staff advised police of a man, who might be the subject of a DV protective order, waiting outside the bar for his girlfriend. Officers were able to confirm that the man in question was not bound by any court orders.
