Drug Law Violation

While booking in an inmate, Corrections Officer discovered a suspicious substance in the inmate’s personal belongings.  The substance was tested and found to be methamphetamines.  Walter Beltran, 38, was charged with a drug law violation.
Harassment

- Local resident requested officer assistance due to being verbally harassed in the parking lot of a local business.  Officers contacted the complainant and suspect.  The suspect stated that he did not make any threatening remarks; he just advised the complainant that he was not a “Christian.”  Officers advised the suspect to stay away from the complainant and he agreed.

Local hotel manager requested officer assistance with a guest who has been calling 911 to report that the hotel is not providing adequate room service.  Officer advised that the guest cannot be charged for calling 911 but that the Hotel has the right to trespass the guest.

A driver exiting a local business struck a vehicle that was traveling on Salmon Way, causing minor damage to both vehicles. No injuries were reported.

A slightly injured driver refused the services of on-scene medics.

A driver attempted to go around a right-turning vehicle lost control on an icy section of roadway, drove into a ditch, hit an essentially stationary object and flipped his vehicle over. The driver had minor injuries and refused on-scene medical treatment. The vehicle was extensively damaged.

Officers responded to a residence at which a drunken sibling had allegedly accosted a female visitor. Officers determined that the sibling had grabbed the woman by the arm when she started to enter his residence to wake his sleeping brother. Officers found no evidence that a crime had occurred.

Local homeowner requested that his neighbor be trespassed from his residence for a period of 60 days. Officers are attempting to contact neighbor.

Drunken brother reported being concerned because his drunken sibling had grabbed five beers and departed their house in a taxi. The responding officer found nothing unusual about this incident.

Complaint about men working in the roadway without benefit of warning signs. An officer responded to the area and found several men in blaze orange and neon green jackets carrying large red & white poles in their work area.

Caller reported he had lost his debit card and that the card had subsequently been used for a fraudulent purchase. Shortly after an officer began investigating, the victim called and said he had cancelled the card and no further action was requested.

Per Security, and officer advised several men who had recently assaulted and robbed someone that they were no longer welcome at the business.
