Randall K. Burns, 26 yoa, was arrested on one count of Assault IV -DV after witnesses reported that Burns had punched a man later identified as Burns’ roommate. Burns told officers he had been attempting to get his recalcitrant roommate on the boat, and had told him he’d count to three before hitting him if he didn’t board the vessel.

Drunken sibling demanded that a woman who had brought him and his brother dinner be told to leave his home. An officer advised the drunk it wasn’t particularly nice to accept dinner from the woman and then kick her out of his home. The woman left of her own accord.

Caller reported two cyclists, one of whom was not using any reflective gear and/or lights. An officer observed that the two cyclists were traveling safely on Captain’s Bay Road.

Business owner reported that road construction crews had left a large pile of rocks in front of the only remaining entrance to his business, inhibiting movement of trailers in and out of the parking lot. An officer provided the man with the name and number of a responsible party.

Caller reported that one entrance to Safeway was blocked and the other one was open but without a flagger, while construction crews worked on repaving the adjacent roadway. An officer responded and found the various entrances appropriately signed.

A police officer who responded to an alarm located a man who said he had spilled cooking oil on a hot stove, causing a small quantity of smoke. No open flames were observed.

Complaint about children fishing behind the PCR. An officer spoke to two young boys, both of whom were technically fishing legally, about other locations which might be both more productive for them and better for the spawning salmon. They readily agreed to move downstream.

A cell phone which fell from a shirt pocket was apparently recovered by someone who has since chosen not to return it.

An intoxicated man advised police that he had lost the keys to a vehicle he left parked in a loading zone at the airport. An officer advised the inebriate not to drive this night, and to contact airport staff in the morning to advise them of the problem.

A woman alleged that two airline employees were “stoned,” and described one of the two suspects as simply, wearing a hat. No further information was provided. An officer advised airline management of the complaint.

Fishing company staff reported a deckhand might be missing, as he had checked his luggage but failed to make his outbound flight. Company personnel later reported they had made contact with the employee and no further action was required.
