Officers contacted a man who had previously told officers he wanted to leave the island and yet who this day refused to leave on the last available flight. The man eventually agreed to board his plane and left without further incident.

Princeton A. Krukoff, 24 yoa, was arrested for Driving under the Influence after another driver reported him speeding down the center of the roadway.

Officer issued a warning regarding unsecured loads after observing the driver of tailgate-less pickup stopping to pick up a box which had flown out of the back of his box-filled pickup.

A man attempting to transport a coffin from the airport to the ferry terminal asked for assistance making the move. An officer provided the man with information regarding the options available to him in Unalaska.

Driver stated that the deck lights of a docked vessel made driving on East Point Road difficult. An officer contacted those on board the vessel and asked that they turn off the offending light fixture. They did.

Caller reported a woman had not returned to her residence as scheduled; said behavior was very unusual for the woman. Moments later the caller reported the woman had returned.

Officers responded to a Unisea bunkhouse regarding a report of a possibly suicidal man at that location, and found the man intoxicated, holding a knife to his stomach and making repeated statements about wishing to die. Officers were able to convince the man to seek assistance from a mental health specialist.

EMS personnel provided care and transport for a drunken man who may have had a seizure.

Parents reported that their son, locally employed in Unalaska, had phoned them and made multiple statements to the effect that he felt disturbed and threatened by unidentified people and/or events. Officers eventually located the son, who denied any specific problems and said that his employers had purchased a ticket for him to leave the island in a few days’ time.

Public Works employee reported that the women’s bathroom at Kelty Field had been vandalized. Damage was minor but the employee asked that it be documented in case there were similar incidences in the future.

Nathan T. Imes, 37 yoa, was arrested on charges of Driving under the Influence and Misconduct Involving Weapons IV after an officer observed him stumbling from his vehicle to the Cape Cheerful Lounge, and then learned that Imes was carrying a weapon on his person.

Caller from the Harbor View Bar reported having made a big mistake, and asked for help. Officers responded and found a man who was afraid for his safety because he had “disrespected” some people. He later admitted to some paranoia as a result of having been using both alcohol and drugs earlier in the evening. Unisea Security arranged for a safe room for the man for the evening.

Officers responded to the residence of the drunken brothers, wherein the two siblings were having a dispute about various minor issues. One brother asked officers to remove his SIM card from his sibling’s phone, and take his sibling to his room. Officers told the brother to collect his own SIM card and that the sibling could go to bed when he wished.
