Caller reported having to brake to avoid an accident with a commercial truck driver who had cut her off as he turned onto the road in front of her. Officers contacted the suspect driver at his workplace after he hung up on them, and warned him about the penalties associated with charges of Reckless Driving.

A woman reported finding windows broken on two unregistered/unlicensed vehicles which were parked in a business lot.

Caller reported speeding construction vehicle drivers again failing to stop at East Broadway and Lear Roads. Officers contacted one driver who said he came to a stop but perhaps not a complete one. Several other violations were noted during the contact, and the construction site manager was again notified of the various violations.

A man advised police he had heard what he was fairly certain was a gunshot, rather than a seal bomb, somewhere near Dutton Road. Officers smelled gunpowder in that area but found nothing to identify the source of the shot.

Officer advised a man standing outside a liquor store with an open bottle of beer, and advised him it was illegal to have open containers in public.

Taxi driver told police a man in her taxi was refusing to pay his fare. An officer contacted the passenger’s employer after learning that the passenger believed his company had already arranged payment for the ride, and learned that this was indeed the case… but the passenger was using the wrong taxi service. The passenger was ultimately taken where he needed to go and his fare was paid by his employer.
