Woman reported to police that it appeared someone had been squatting in her son’s currently vacant residence. She and an officer went through the home, and though nothing appeared to be missing there were several indications that someone had at some point been staying inside the house. A suspect was not identified.

Officers rescued a still-downy, injured Bald Eaglet after it was found on the side of Captain’s Bay Road by an OSI employee. The eaglet was shipped to Bird TLC in Anchorage, where it was reported to be in good condition upon arrival.
