Harbor Officer reported that a vehicle belonging to a man who had recently been barred from the Carl E. Moses dock was parked at the dock. The vehicle was empty and there were no footprints in the snow to indicate the man had recently been there.

Police assisted Fire and EMS personnel at a potential fire scene.

Fire and EMS personnel responded to an apartment complex after a fire alarm began sounding at that location. No fire, smoke or other emergency was found.
Harassment
Monday 13 January 2014, 7:56 p.m.
A man reported that several people were outside the door and window of his room, making comments about shooting him because of a noxious odor emanating from his feet. Officers were unable to verify any element of the man’s story, even after talking to alleged witnesses and reviewing video. Based on this and other information obtained from the caller, officers advised the man to speak with a mental health counselor. He agreed to do so.
MVA Damage

A young driver backed into a vehicle parked across the street from her house, causing significant damage to her own vehicle and minor damage to the other. No injuries were reported.

A man, who told police he was looking for the vending machine at Public Safety, was found lurking in a restricted area at the rear of the building. The man was advised that the vending machine was inside the building and was told not to enter the restricted area in the future.

Caller reported a woman had consumed a considerable amount of alcohol before driving away from a bar earlier in the evening. Officers attempted to locate the suspect driver without success.

Caller reported two possibly intoxicated people near the high school. An officer responded and contacted two people who were talking to one another in the parking lot near the high school.

A dump truck driver backed over a stop sign and then upon pulling forward, cut his brake line on the broken sign. No injuries and no other damages were reported.

A driver attempting to back down Captain’s Lane veered far enough onto an embankment that his vehicle rolled over. No serious injuries resulted from the accident.
