Officers spoke with a man who had asked about borrowing a travel case for his guns, and advised him that his criminal history indicated he was not to be in possession of any firearms. The man immediately turned his weapons over to his son for transport back to the mainland, and said he would speak to his local PD about the matter when he returned home.

Desk clerk at the Grand Aleutian reported a fight in progress in the lobby. The desk clerk told officers, who found nobody fighting in the lobby, that he had observed two people arguing. Nobody involved in the alleged fight was located at or near the hotel.

Intoxicated man reported that his intoxicated brother was acting crazy. Officers responded to the home and found both brothers behaving as they usually do.

Officers secured traffic signs which had been blown by high winds into the roadway.

Disabled vehicle, partially blocking roadway. A mechanic was able to move it to a safer location.
Release Conditions

Caller reported seeing alcohol in his neighbors' home and believed they were violating their conditions of release. Officers found the neighbors sober and not in possession of any alcohol. The caller was advised that he could in the future be charged with false reporting.

Ioanae Faasavalu, 24 yoa, was arrested on an outstanding warrant after an off-duty officer saw Faasavalu at Alaska Ship Supply.

Concerned citizen reported a number of drivers speeding through the school zone in the morning. An officer patrolling the area did not see any speedsters.

Officer recovered a stolen (but not yet reported) vehicle after a citizen reported a pickup truck had been left running in the middle of the roadway. The owner of the vehicle elected not to pursue the matter further.

Numerous people involved in a fight at the Harbor View Bar were issued trespass advisements, per bar management.
Disorderly Conduct

Officers broke up a fight at the Harbor View Bar, and ultimately arrested one drunken young man who couldn't resist taking a final swing at another participant even after the two had been separated. Sami Morris Maafu, 20 yoa, of Washington, was arrested on charges of Disorderly Conduct, Minor on Premises and Minor in Possession of Alcohol.

An amorous bloke who in a misguided attempt to attract a mate placed his genitals on full, flapping display in the roadway instead caught the attention of a passing police officer. The luckless lad was allowed to leave without charges since the intended victim couldn't be offended by what she couldn't see.

Driver reported being passed by another driver. Officers were unable to locate the person responsible for such the act.

A Unisea Security officer asked that police speak to a careless driver who had passed extremely close to her.

EMS personnel provided care and transport for a drunk complaining of back pain.

Taxi driver reported having an inebriated passenger who refused to pay his fare. Officers contacted the drunk, who claimed to be in need of an ambulance and denied having the funds to pay for the taxi ride. The driver elected not to pursue charges.

MVA Damage

A driver bailed from his vehicle when the brakes failed and the vehicle began rolling down an embankment into the water. The truck came to rest in approximately 15 feet of water at the CEM Harbor, and was pulled from the water a short time later. No injuries were reported.
