A woman fled a new acquaintance's hotel room, where she had gone to get cigarettes, after she was thrown to the man's bed and subjected to remarks which suggested she might be in imminent danger. Jeffrey J. Strong, 29 yoa, of Washington, was arrested for Assault IV the following day after he was positively identified as the assailant.

Caller told an officer a black dog has been in the same spot on a hillside for two days, and must be stuck there. An officer hiked the hillside and found not one but two dogs, both of whom easily and quickly ran away from him, thus allowing him to determine that the dogs were not in fact stuck.
