APIA Behavioral Health Staff Available

In light of this week’s tragedy, APIA Behavioral Health Staff is in Unalaska to support grieving students, families, and community members. This weekend, you can reach providers by calling 359-2743. They are available over the phone, or will provide information on face-to-face appointments.

Update from the Unalaska City School District:

The Unalaska City School will remain open this evening (Friday, May 10) and counselors will be available for students and community members.

The Unalaska City School will open on Saturday, May 11, from 12:00 noon until 7:00 PM, again with counselors on site to assist students and community members.

Due to the tragic accident which claimed two Unalaska High School students on Thursday, school officials wish to announce that the High School Prom scheduled for Saturday, May 11, is cancelled.

A Celebration of Life Formal is scheduled for high school students on Friday, May 17, from 9:00 PM until 1:00 AM in the Eagle’s View Elementary gym.

The Unalaska High School Graduation Ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 18, at 7:00 PM in the Unalaska City School Big Gym.

The District appreciates the community’s support and understanding as we grieve the loss of our students. The entire UCSD family extends its sincerest condolences to the families and friends of the young ladies lost in this tragic accident. Our hearts are broken.
