Overseas caller reported that a cast iron camp stove had been stolen from a camp site, allegedly by a man who claims that the caller owes him an apparently substantial sum of money. Under investigation.

Officers responded to a local store after a manager reported that a problem customer was harassing and bullying one of the checkers. The behavior of the abrasive and abusive customer, who identified store personnel with unsavory descriptions, confirmed the manager’s complaint. The customer was advised that his continued patronage of the store was in question.

Officer received a call from an out-of-state relative who had just enough time to say she was being assaulted before her assailant took the phone from her and hung up. Officers notified the police department for the community in question.

Caller reported a suspicious character loitering behind a bar and appearing as if ready to make illegal entry into the bar. Officers found the bar manager smoking behind the building, near several doors purposefully left unlocked during business hours.

Officers contacted a father and son who were arguing about the father’s drinking and who were having a difficult time resolving their differences. Both parties denied any violence or threats thereof, and were advised to work on their communication skills.

Caller reported a speeding driver whose vehicle had blue instead of amber parking lights. An officer located the suspect driver and issued warnings about speeding and illegal lighting equipment on his vehicle.
