Officers responded to a report of a dog in distress in a parked vehicle at the airport, and ultimately learned that the dog’s owner often leaves his dog in the car. The owner was advised to leave a window open and provide water for his dog if he intended to continue this practice.

Officers responded to an alleged assault between a man and his girlfriend, and learned that the two have a history of arguing and had this day pushed one another. No arrests were made.

Caller phoned UDPS from Table Top Mountain and said he was hiking home from McLeese Lake but had become disoriented in the fog. Officers were able to give him guidance to an old WWII road near Wide Bay, where he awaited a comrade with a boat. UDPS later received information that both parties had returned safely.

Aaron Sours, 23 yoa, was arrested for Assault II after officers responding to an ambulance request discovered that his wife had significant injuries including some indicators of strangulation. Sours denied strangling his wife but admitted he may have been in a fit of rage.

Joey H. Echevarria, 52 yoa, was arrested for Driving under the Influence after officers observed poor driving behavior as he drove past them.

Complaint about loud music from a neighboring apartment. The responding officer was able to hear someone inside the suspect apartment telling another person not to answer the door, but eventually an extremely intoxicated man opened the door and was advised to turn down his television.

A young driver travelling too fast on Summer Bay Road slid off the roadway and hung his pickup over the side of an embankment. None of the three occupants were injured. The driver received a citation.

Mario Castillo, 57 yoa, was arrested on one count of Criminal Trespass II after he was found in a liquor store only two weeks after having been told he was not allowed on the property.

Estranged out-of-town husband reported that his wife had been injured by her live-in occasional lover, who had allegedly beaten her with a baseball bat and threatened her with a drill to the side of her head. Officers determined that none of this was so.
