Mark A. Evangelista, 30 yoa, was arrested on one count Assault III after witnesses told officers that Evangelista elbowed a coworker in the face, held him in a chokehold and stomped on his head twice. Evangelista stated he had not been in a fight and denied having done anything wrong.

An inebriate who as it turned out had no money to pay his cab fare asked his driver to take him to an ATM but was unable to withdraw any funds. A minor scuffle broke out between the inebriate, the taxi driver and several other passengers when the driver told the inebriate she wasn’t driving him anywhere else. Again, no persons involved wished to pursue charges. An officer drove the inebriate home and gave him to his wife.
Drunk Disturbance

Bar staff reported a patron had knocked over several drinks and was being unpleasant to other patrons, though nobody so affected wished to pursue any charges. Officers located the inebriated man across the street, and advised him not to return to the bar. The inebriate, who claimed he had money for cab fare, left in a taxi.

Caller reported a fast-moving driver passing motorists on blind curves and generally driving poorly. Other witnesses confirmed these observations. The suspect driver, who denied any wrongdoing, was cited for Reckless Driving.

Utilities personnel reported significant damage to a piece of high-voltage electrical equipment, apparently from a vehicle. Officers determined based on debris left at the scene the likely year, make and model of the suspect vehicle. Under investigation.

Vessel captain reported that a balding man with a mustache, wearing a long dress and fishnet stockings, had been walking up and down the roadway near his boat since early this morning and was now inside a pickup, on the dock next to his boat, pleasuring himself. The captain was primarily worried that some of his young and female crew might be offended. Officers contacted the suspect, who admitted to some elements of the complaint, and advised him that he might be better off pursuing his activities in a private location.

Driver reported his pickup had been damaged during the brief period it was parked outside the cargo office. A suspect driver and vehicle were identified as having been in the area at the time; however there was no indication that the suspect vehicle had been involved in this or any other recent collisions. Under investigation.

Caller reported drunken persons on Airport Beach. Officers found one group of people smoking close to an apartment entrance and another man urinating on the side of the road. All parties were warned about their various violations.

A motorist struck and killed two Bald Eagles, and injured two others, on Summer Bay road near the landfill. The investigation was turned over to AST, who later advised that the motorist would be charged.
