A woman whose vehicle had been damaged while it was parked advised the responding officer that the suspect had left a note with contact information. The suspect driver, who returned to the scene to speak to police, admitted having damaged the parked vehicle while attempting to park her own vehicle. A citation was issued to the suspect driver.

Drug Law Violation

Officers coordinated with the US Postal Service on an investigation involving methamphetamine and heroin which had been mailed from Seattle to Kyle R. Eby in Unalaska. Eby was arrested after he had accepted delivery of the packages which had contained the illegal drugs, and identified the sender as Jesse Lee. Eby, 30 yoa, was charged with eight felonies and six misdemeanors, to include six Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance charges, three Misconduct Involving Weapons charges and five counts of Violating Conditions of Release; a warrant was issued for Jesse D. Lee, 24 yoa, for one count each Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance II and III.

Gas station employee requested assistance contacting the owner of a vehicle which had apparently been abandoned at one of the pumps. On officer located the driver and advised him of the complaint.
Suspicious Person/Activity

Officers responded to the area around the Unalaska Post Office after two men were seen with a lit flare, close enough to nearby fuel storage tanks to cause concern. The suspects were quickly located and explained that they were unaware that fuel tanks were in the vicinity and had simply been testing the flare-lighting mechanism.

Caller reported a possibly intoxicated driver who had just turned in to the UDPS parking lot. An officer checked the parking lot and surrounding roadway without finding the suspect vehicle or any other indication that a drunk driver had driven through the freshly fallen snow.

Processing plant administrator reported that one of their company vehicles, a pickup with expired registration which had been left with the keys inside it, had not been seen for several days. An officer searched several areas of town without finding the missing vehicle.

Resident requested police assistance to stop political campaign calls she has continued to receive in spite of having made repeated requests to remove her phone number. An officer suggested contacting her phone provided to have the originating number(s) blocked.
