Mother asked officers to check on her child’s father, with whom she had just had an abruptly terminated conversation and who she could not reach via telephone. Officers later reached the man, who said he would let the mother know that he was in good health.

Officers responded to a local bar regarding a minor assault, and found a half-dozen people had been involved in various disagreements about debts and a certain woman’s behavior. One man had ultimately slapped another but no other violence was reported.
Trespass

Officer reminded a man who had been given a trespass advisement about eight months earlier that he was still not allowed to return. The man, who had not yet violated any laws, left the area without incident.
Drunk Disturbance

Officers contacted an intoxicated and distraught woman who was shambling along the roadway. The woman, who declined all offers of assistance, including that of her husband, was allowed to continue on her way home after being advised to use the sidewalk in order to stay well clear of traffic.

Officer advised the driver of a vehicle with out-of-state plates that his vehicle should be registered within 30 days of arrival in-state.

Caller reported her neighbor was dumping cat litter in the caller’s yard. Officers contacted the neighbor, who does not own a cat and has no need of cat litter, and learned that a number of other people in the nearby area have cats.

Officers investigated the area from which two 911 hang-up calls had been received, and learned that the number had been mistakenly dialed while trying to join a conference call.

Processing plant employee reported that his phone had been stolen, possibly by a roommate, while he was showering. Under investigation.

Officer observed the door to an apartment, which appeared to be unoccupied, had been left open. Contact was made with the tenant who advised that nobody should be at the residence and who asked that the officer secure the premises.

DUI

Officer conducted field sobriety tests on a driver who had originally been stopped for an equipment violation. The driver, who admitted to having had a single drink earlier in the evening, was not impaired and was allowed to continue on his way

A man, his wife, a coworker and her boyfriend had some disputatious exchanges after the man told his coworker he was desirous of her. Officers advised all parties to keep their comments to themselves.
