A man who was involved in a fight was issued a trespass advisement for a period of three months.

A vessel crewman reported that another crewman, who had quit just a few hours after their 10-day trip started, had stolen money from several people on the vessel and had been seen stuffing cash into a vent. Because the crimes occurred outside City limits, the information was passed on to AST for further investigation.

Alexander Swenton, 25 yoa, was arrested for Violating Conditions of Release when officers who were investigating his role in an assault discovered he had been drinking in violation of his court-ordered conditions.

Officers investigated a disturbance involving multiple patrons of a local bar. Three people were injured to varying degrees but none of those involved wished to pursue charges and the statements they provided to police were inconsistent at best.

A crane tipped over and struck a waste oil tank, dumping approximately 20 gallons of petroleum product into the bay. Personnel at the scene had already placed absorbent booms and pads by the time an officer arrived. USCG and other agencies were notified.

Salvador Castillo, 49 yoa, was charged with Driving without a Valid License after an officer stopped him for having improperly illuminated headlights and learned that he had no driving license.

Officer ordered a taxi out of service after noting that it had an inoperable taillight. The driver was irritated but was able to fix the problem in short order.

An intoxicated and emotional woman who lived in this community decades ago called from out of state approximately 20 times to say that her husband had threatened to kill her and had also ordered some pornographic materials. It was unclear whether the two complaints were related. Police in the woman’s jurisdiction were asked to check on the woman; they later reported that she was fine and had become a regular customer in recent weeks.

Caller reported an odor of marijuana near a hotel, but was able to provide no additional information. Officers responded to the area and found nothing of note.

Edward “Randy” Baker, 44 yoa, was arrested for Assault IV - Physical Injury to a Law Enforcement Officer, after he shoved and struck an officer who had attempted to help his young and inappropriately dressed son.

An officer stopped to check on a young boy who was alone, inappropriately dressed for the weather and had darted across Airport Beach Road without checking for traffic. Both the boy’s parents eventually arrived on scene, but the mother refused to identify herself and the father became aggressive with the officers who were there to help his son.

Caller reported a man, possibly intoxicated, walking in the middle of the roadway. Officers found the man, who was not inebriated but was quite chilled after wandering about the admittedly confusing road system in search of the CEM dock. An officer provided the man with transport to his vessel.

Caller reported a taxi driver had just transported more passengers than she had installed seat belts. An officer contacted the suspect driver, who admitted to not knowing precisely how many people had been in her taxi. The officer warned the driver about possible civil and criminal penalties resulting from her actions.
