Caller reported a possibly intoxicated driver swerving all over the roadway at varying speeds An officer stopped the driver and after being given a provisional license determined she was simply and obviously still learning to drive.

A teenage daughter reported that her mother and mother’s boyfriend were arguing, and that she was concerned for her mother’s safety. Officers responded and after talking to all parties determined no crime had been committed. The boyfriend opted to spend the remainder of Christmas Day in a workshop rather than at home.

Two men who had been issued trespass advisements were seen at the bar. The men left before an officer arrived. Under investigation.

Caller reported the driver of an oversize vehicle was not using strobe lights as required, and had a considerable amount of traffic backed up behind him. An officer contacted the driver and advised him to adhere to traffic laws when moving oversize equipment.

Officers responded to a bar after a patron, who had been denied entry after showing identification belonging to two different people, asked that police come to his assistance. The patron, who was of legal age and had no court conditions prohibiting alcohol consumption, was unable to explain exactly why he had taken and used another person’s ID to get into the bar. He was advised not to return to the bar for 72 hours.

Out of town caller reported that someone might be living in her former, now condemned, residence. An officer checked the building but did not find any indication that it was being used.

Caller requested assistance removing his roommate from his residence. The roommate admitted to having made some threatening remarks, but Officers determined that no imminent threat of harm existed, especially after she agreed to leave the house for the night.

Caller reported hearing what sounded like gunshots or seal bombs. Officers responded to the area and found several vessels, blazing with Christmas lights, motoring around the bay. The same noises were heard several more times but officers were unable to determine whether the noise came from the decorated boats and if so, what had caused it.
DUI

Robert G. Chapman, 32 yoa, was arrested for Driving under the Influence after a caller reported him first swerving on the roadway and then swaying as he attempted to photograph vessels in the harbor. Officers located Chapman as he fish-tailed away from the harbor.

The passenger in a vehicle whose driver had just been arrested opted to urinate in a parking lot in front of the arresting officers, and was advised that his actions were illegal. Citation pending.
