Alaska Blanket Exercise

Location: Community Room Unalaska Public Library

The Alaska Blanket Exercise (ABE) program is an interactive learning activity - developed with Alaska Native elders and educators - that fosters truth, understanding, respect, and reconciliation among Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples.

Community Room Unalaska Public Library, 64 Eleanor Drive, on Friday, August 2nd | 6pm to 8pm

Important Considerations:
-Topics will include boarding school experiences, substance use, racism, sexual abuse, and suicide.
-Self-care breaks are encouraged.
-Bring a blanket or sheet that will be walked on.
-Consider bringing an item from your own culture for the exercise. This item will be lightly handled.
-Although not required, you will be invited to remove your shoes, so please wear socks.
