The US Army Corps of Engineers is rescheduling a Public Meeting regarding environmental updates for the Amaknak Formerly Used Defense Site, or FUDS. This meeting was supposed to take place on on March 31, 2020, but it has been postponed until further notice.

The Amaknak FUDS is comprised of various sites on Amaknak and Unalaska Islands, and the purpose of the meeting will be to discuss recently completed remedial activities and the potential establishment of a Restoration Advisory Board in Unalaska. Community members interested in learning more about the Amaknak FUDS projects or in serving as a volunteer for the Amaknak FUDS Restoration Advisory Board are invited to attend.
