To elect two (2) City Council Members and
Three (3) School Board Members

For a 3-year term ending October 2026

City Council Seat E
Presently held by Dennis Robinson
For a 3-year term ending October 2026

School Board Seat B
Presently held by Jolene Longo
For a 3-year term ending October 2026

School Board Seat E
Presently held by Danielle Williams
For a 3-year term ending October 2026

School Board Seat C
Vacant due to resignation of Bob Cummings
To complete remainder of term (2 years) ending October 2025

Persons interested in filing as a candidate for any of the above seats must file a DECLARARATION OF CANDIDACY. Forms are available in the City Clerk’s Department at City Hall, 43 Raven Way, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, during the candidacy filing period.

QUALIFICATIONS

UNALASKA CITY CODE SECTION 4.12.010 (A) states: “No person shall hold the elective office of Mayor or member of the City Council, or be eligible to seek election thereto, unless at the time of filing the declaration of candidacy, the person is a qualified voter of the City who has resided within the City for a period of no less than twelve consecutive months immediately prior to the time of submission of declaration of candidacy.”

SECTION 4.12.010 (B) states: “No person shall hold the elective office of member of the school board or be eligible to seek election thereto, unless the person is a qualified voter of the City and has been a resident of the City for a period of not less than 30 days immediately preceding the time of submission of declaration of candidacy.”
